TPRI Kit Materials

kindergarten kit

All TPRI kits include the following materials:
  • A Teacher's Guide that contains introductory information about the instrument, all of the information needed to administer the Screening and Inventory Sections of the TPRI, directions for recording student responses, and implications for instruction.
  • An Intervention Activities Guide that contains several components to assist teachers in planning instruction based on the TPRI results. The Grouping Section of the Intervention Activities Guide contains specific guidelines for grouping students based upon TPRI assessment results. The Grouping Section of the Guide is followed by Sections on Phonemic Awareness, Word Study, Fluency, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Writing, etc. In these Sections are Strategies and Activities that can be used to provide small group instruction in specific need areas.
  • Twenty-four copies of the Student Record Sheets. Teachers should use the Student Record Sheet to record student responses. (Samples of other grade levels are included.)
  • Lowercase alphabet letters
  • One magnetic board
  • One stopwatch
  • A complete set of Task Cards
  • A Class Summary Form
  • Reading Comprehension Story Booklet (Grades 1 and 2)
  • CD-ROM
