These pages will give you a chance to practice scoring the Reading Accuracy, Fluency, & Comprehension portion of the Inventory.

The following pages are comparable to pages in an actual TPRI Teacher's Guide. Instructions appear at the top of the page to guide you in proper administration of the tasks, just as they would appear at the top of the page in the TPRI Teacher's Guide.

You will be instructed on how to get a paper copy of the exercise before beginning. Then, listen carefully to the student's reading. Mark any words miscalled. Also remember to mark words not called within the allotted time, per the instructions at the top of the page. Finally, when you practice the administration of the comprehension passage, you are encouraged to use your stopwatch to time the student's reading. After you have listened to the reading segment, calculate the words correctly read per minute rate, according to the Reading Fluency Rate Formula given in the directions.
