Security Awareness and Training

Policy

This policy will define how Security Awareness and Training in UTHCPC is conducted. If discrepancies are suspected contact MIS or UT Security at 713-741-4999.

• Security Awareness and Training is conducted in orientation.

• Each employee is briefed on Password management and attempts, PHI information, web browsing, e-mail, virus protection and how to report incidents.

• Each employee is informed how to request assistance using the DPSR and helpdesk.

• Upon completion of the training. Each employee signs an “Information Resources Security and Usage Agreement”. This is maintained in the employees HR file.

• “CyberSafety” pamphlet is no longer in use at UTH
