Patient Billing Standards of Conduct

Policy

The Harris County Psychiatric Center (HCPC) expects that all its faculty, staff, and students will follow the highest standards of personal conduct as established by federal, state and local laws specifically as it relates to the billing of medical services.

HCPC follows the General Standards of Conduct set forth in the University of Texas Health Science Center Handbook of Operating Procedures(HOOP) 2.01.
HCPC reserves the right to take appropriate disciplinary measures against any employee whose behavior obstructs or disrupts the normal functioning of the hospital and the authorized activities of the hospital.

PROCEDURE

Violations of the provisions of this policy will be handled in accordance with the appropriate disciplinary policy for faculty, administrative and professional, classified staff, and students
