Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to facilitate the shipment of overnight packages

Goals/Outcomes

Simplify the overnight shipment process and provide timely payment of vendor

Audience/User

Any authorized persons wanting to send packages overnight

Sending Overnight Shipments

The following steps describe the process for sending packages overnight:

1. Sender sends package to Central Stores along with delivery address
2. Central Stores uses Federal Express shipment labels provided by Financial Operations to complete shipment information
3. Central Stores sends a copy of the customer’s documents to Financial Operations upon pickup of the shipment
4. Financial Operations emails tracking number to sender
