This topic provides information regarding mail pick-up and delivery.
Package delivery and pick-up, including Fed-Ex envelopes, is handled by the
Facilities Department Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 A.M –
After these hours, on weekends, and holidays the Reception Desk will accept envelopes and small packages to be picked up by delivery services and will receive envelopes and small packages delivered to the hospital. Reception Staff will e-mail the addressee that the package has arrived. Packages received by the Reception staff must be picked up at the Reception Desk. Any packages not picked up by 8:00 A.M. the following business day will be picked up by the Facilities Management Department and delivered to the addressee.
The Reception Staff will maintain documentation of all package/envelope handoffs that take place through the Reception Desk.
Inter-office, and out-going mail.
UTHCPC provides a central location for mail pick-up and delivery. Departments are assigned a box in which they will pick-up their mail. Departments designate a staff member to collect in-coming mail, and deliver out-going mail. Boxes are located in 1A-87. Each department will be issued 2 keys.
Lost keys, will be issued at a cost of $5.00
For all out-going inter-institutional mail and U.S. Mail, a secure mailbox is provided in 1A-87.
The inter-office mail will be sorted out and put in its corresponding departmental box. Mail will be ready for pick-up after 10:00am, Monday through Friday.
The UTHSC-H Mail Services does the following daily:
Picks-up and drops-off mail two times a day: 7:30am and 12:00pm
Picks-up external mail from the brown mail drop box on the dock at 7:30 a.m. and 12:00pm
