When a patient is readmitted to psychiatric care when possible within 30 days, the Patient Registration Department
readmits the patient directly to the same unit.
If no bed is available on the last treatment unit, the patient will be admitted to the unit where a bed is available.
If an Interdisciplinary Patient Assessment has been performed within the past 30 days, a new assessment is not required. A clinical update since the prior admission is entered in the progress notes for each discipline.
