HCPC has smoke detectors located throughout the facility that will trigger the automatic fire alarm, if activated. The HCPC internal fire alert designation is termed "CODE RED". The phone number to call is 911 then call UT Security at 741-8686.
The fire alarm has both audio and visual components. The audio alarm is a loud, continuous sounding horn. The visual alarm is a blinking strobe light inside a white plastic sign (with "FIRE" printed on it in red) mounted on the upper wall.
HCPC also has fire alarm pull boxes (red and black with "FIRE" in silver) that will activate the alarm system. The alarm box is activated by pulling down the bar (with white letters that say "PULL DOWN") and release handle.
Fire extinguisher for the department is located on the wall at the entrance of the suite.
