Job Description
The job description should include responsibilities reflective of the following:

UTHCPC's mission

Departmental mission

Departmental management plan

Performance Evaluation
The performance evaluation should reflect the employee's ability to produce measurable outcomes relative to the job description.

Responsibilities

Department managers have the following responsibilities:

Create and update the following job descriptions in a timely manner using the UT standard format:

Competency-based job descriptions for all positions under their direction

New job descriptions in UTHSCH format as UTHCPC creates new job classifications

Review competency-based job descriptions with their employees upon hire
Reason
: To ensure comprehension of job responsibilities, accountabilities, and expectations.

Evaluate each employee's performance annually based on his/her competency-based job description utilizing Knowledge Point automated performance evaluation tool.
