Basketball Discount Tickets
Thanks to the Houston Comets for offering discount tickets
to the Saturday, July 10, 8 pm game against the Los Angeles
Sparks. Ticket prices are $10 - $16. Tickets must be purchased
by Thursday, July 8. To purchase tickets, call Kim Kunce at
713-758-7443.
Staff Kudos
Kudos to psyc tech Muhammed Doumbouya for
receiving a compliment from a patient who commented on Muhammed’s
patience and friendliness. And, to the staff on Unit
2E, from a patient who wanted to recognize Jackie,
James, Beverly, Adelyn, Hazel, Anita, Ambrose and
Judy for their caring, compassionate treatment.
Food Drive Continues
Support Houston’s hungry by contributing to the UTH-sponsored
food drive. Collection bins are located in the second floor
lobby and outside room 3A31. A cash donation container is
located by the cafeteria cash register (during regular cafeteria
hours). Checks made out to the Houston Food Bank can be sent
to room 3A31 or you can donate online at http://www.uthouston.edu/community/food_drive/index.html.
Classified Staff Council Election Date Changes
The University Classified Staff Council election dates have
been moved to June 25-July 5. Please contact Mary.A.Dhir@uth.tmc.edu
if you have questions.
Benefits Brown Bag Scheduled
Employee benefits will hold an information meeting here at
UTHCPC on July 14 at 12 noon. The meeting will be held in
the auditorium. Representatives will be on hand to discuss
changes to the UT health insurance, and other benefits to
be implemented during the next fiscal year.
Fiscal Year 2005 Holiday Calendar announced
Human Resources announces approval of the FY05 Holiday Calendar.
Mike Jimenez, vice president and chief human resources officer,
encourages staff members to use the holiday calendar as a
planning tool for work and family life. Tentative calendars
through FY 2009 are posted on the Web at
http://www.uth.tmc.edu/ut_general/admin_fin/hr/holiuth.htm.
Public Health Center Offers Summer Courses
The Texas Public Health Training Center will offer a number
of short courses in Houston July 19-23 during the First Summer
Institute. The courses are of varying lengths, and some are
concurrent. The courses include:
