Vivian Abobo Wins Regional Award
Congratulations to UTHCPC/McKesson Pharmacist Vivian
Abobo. Vivian was presented with the Mckesson Medical
Management Award for Clinical Excellence and Innovation at
Mckesson’s annual meeting. McKesson senior management
was impressed with many of the programs implemented here at
UTHCPC, including the patient monitoring guidelines, drug
therapy monitoring, empiric antibiotic monitoring guidelines
and other programs implemented to improve patient care.

Congratulations to Dr. Kim Warneke who recently
passed her oral exam and is now a board certified psychiatrist.
UTHCPC Visiting Hours To Change
UTHCPC visiting hours will change effective July 23. The new
hours are:
Monday through Friday, 7 pm – 8:30 pm
Weekends 1:30 pm – 4 pm
Holidays 1:30 pm – 4 pm and 7 pm – 8:30 pm

To Visit UTHCPC
UTHSCH President James T. Willerson, M.D.,
has begun hosting a series of noon forums to discuss the state
of the HSC and answer questions from faculty, staff and students.
You are invited to attend the forum at UTHCPC on Wednesday,
August 31 at 12 noon. Dr. Willerson is expected to discuss
university development, legislative outcomes, the recruitment
of scientists, construction plans, the Institute of Molecular
Medicine, the Texas Heart Institute and much more.
