Edward
L. Reilly, M.D.,
d professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral
Sciences at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston,
has served as Director of the psychiatry residency training
program since 1988. During his tenure he received The University
of Texas Medical School at Houston Dean's Teaching Excellence
Award.
Reilly received his bachelor of science degree from the University
of Maryland in 1957 and his medical degree from Seton Hall
College of Medicine and Dentistry in 1961.
Reilly has held various hospital and teaching appointments
including professor of clinical medicine at The University
of Texas Cancer System from 1982-85 and served as an associate
of the faculty for The University of Texas Graduate School
of Biomedical Sciences at Houston from 1974-1980.
Reilly is a member of numerous professional organizations
including Alcoholism and Drug Research Communications Center
Scientific Editorial Board and Advisory Committee, American
Medical EEG Association Long Range Planning Committee, Harris
County Medical Society Reference Committee Review Team, Texas
Medical Association Committee on Physician Health and Rehabilitation
and Texas Research Society on Alcoholism. Additionally, Reilly
serves as the president of the American Medical EEG Association.
