Data Repository

  • UTHSC-H Fact Book - an annual compilation of key trend data and descriptive information related to the health science center's key mission areas of education, research, patient care, and service. Updated print and online editions are available to the health science center community in January of each year.
  • UT System Accountability Report - In 2002, The University of Texas Regents and Chancellor Yudof agreed that institutional accountability should be a major System priority. SInce that time, an integrated accountability and performance reporting system was put in place to assess "how well...System and component institutions...are achieving their goals and add(ing) value." Annual reports are updated each Fall semester with presentation to the UT System Board of Regents in February. There is some alignment between this report, the Statewide Accountability Report, and the Performance Measures report .
  • THECB Statewide Accontability Report - Similar to the UT System Accountability Report, this Statewide Report was mandated by Governor's Proclamation in January 2004 with the first report provided to the Governor and Texas Legislature in January 2005. Measures assess instiututions' progress toward meeting the goals established in Closing the Gaps. There is some alignment between this report, the UT System Accountability Report above, and the Performance Measures report.
  • Performance Measures Report (LBB)
  • Closing the Gaps (THECB) - represents Texas's plan to increase enrollment, improve graduation rates, foster programs of excellence, and enhance research activity at every state-supported college and university. Individual campus and statewide targets for 2010 and 2015 are currently in place; the THECB occasionally requires institutional updates.
  • Research Expenditures Report (THECB) - The THECB’s annual research expenditures report summarizes data submitted to the Board as required by Section 61.051(h) of the Texas Education Code, which states: “Once a year, on dates prescribed by the board, each institution of higher education shall report to the board all research conducted at that institution during the last preceding year.” Updated reports are available each summer covering the prior fiscal year's activity. Some data in this report also appears in the Statewide Accountability Report above.
  • UT System Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)
  • IPEDS - the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System. It is a system of interrelated surveys conducted annually by the U.S. Department’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). IPEDS gathers information from every college, university, and technical and vocational postsecondary institution that participates in the federal student financial aid programs. The Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, requires that institutions that participate in federal student aid programs report data on enrollments, program completions, graduation rates, faculty and staff, finances, institutional prices, and student financial aid. These data are made available to students and parents through the College Navigator college search Web site and to researchers and others through the IPEDS Data Center.
