Report of Federal Public Key Infrastructure Steering Committee  - Federal Chief Information Officers Council.  The "Executive Summary" of this report is an outstanding overview of why public key infrastructure, digital IDs, etc. are extremely important. The report also covers such topics as the Government Paperwork Elimination Act (GPEA) and the Federal Bridge Certificate Authority (FBCA).

This FAQ is published by RSA Data Security and covers the technical mathematics of cryptography as well as export law and basic fundamentals of information security. Not recommended for users who are uninterested in the technical aspect of digital signatures and public key cryptography.

This report was prepared specifically by the U. T. System Office of General Counsel (OGC) to address issues relating to the phase I implementation of the UTSPKI.
