      January 28, 2012

More information on this pre-medical conference,
designed to recruit underrepresented students into
medical schools in Texas, is in the information
      package below

Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine
      1825 Pressler Street
      Houston, Texas 77030
    • With a Twist!
Be prepared to experience a conference
that addresses issues faced by pre-medical
students in a both traditional and non-traditional way.

Of course there will be tours and deans of
admissions available to answer questions about
what they look for in GPAs and exams such as the
MCAT. But tune in as physicians recount their
personal stories of life and work balance.
Listen as school officials speak on topics
rarely seen at medical school conferences.
      Its a conference--with a twist!
    • Meet Faculty!
      The conference provides a unique
opportunity to meet several faculty, staff,
and students. Why email a dean of admissions
when you can meet them in person?

Find out why faculty and students alike are
committed to recruiting you into medicine where
we know you can make a world of difference.
We are here to serve you.
    • Tour of Medical School!
      The conference brings many students
to a medical school campus for the first time.
It will be held in the UTHealth Institute of
      Molecular Medicine, a recent addition
      to the medical school.

A tour will later be given to expose students to the main medical school building, Memorial Hermann (our teaching hospital), and
the largest medical center in the world.
